Internal Wet Area Waterproofing

Waterproofing is one of the most important parts of your building construction and one of the most neglected parts by contractors because they don’t know its importance and don’t want to spend the money to do it right. The problem of waterproofing of roofs, wall, bathroom, kitchens, toilets, swimming pools, water ranks and basements etc. have not been much reduced. There are a number of materials and methods available for waterproofing purposes. But a successful waterproofing not only depends upon the quality and durability of material but also the environment, workmanship and type of structures.

Waterproofing Materials

1.       DURO MASTIC™ P15 – It’s formulated to create a tenacious bond to most surfaces and forms a tough, flexible waterproof membrane with a high film strength. It is supplied as a thixotropic liquid, which can easily applied to both vertical and horizontal surfaces.

2.       DURO MASTIC™ ACS – It’s a liquid applied acrylic membrane which forms a flexible waterproof lining for showers and other wet areas including cement render, reinforced concrete, water resistant plasterboard and fibre cement sheet flooring etc.  The surface must be firmly free of protrusions, dirt, oil and other contaminants and must be dry.

3.       DURO MASTIC™ TOUGHSET – This membrane is a single high solids component, water-borne membrane modified with acrylic, urethane, SBR and has been formulated to create a tenacious bond to most surfaces.

·         Suitable for most substrates
·         Does not bleed or leach
·         Low water vapour transmission
